Ok...so finally here is the post, about the amazing fabric line designed by our very own Laura Gunn (Yes, I think of her as still being an annoying 9 year old little sister to one of my best friends, but alas none of us are 9 any more...) Honestly, Laura is one of the most talented and inspiring women I know. If I could twist her arm and have her come decorate my house - I would in a heart beat! So, check out her BLOG doesn't it make you dream of spring?!?!?
Anyhow, we are getting ready to reorder this line for the 3rd time!!! So, make sure you get some into your stash! Click HERE to be taken to our website link with Laura's entire collection.
Below is a new KIT we have available, the kit includes all the fabric for the quilt top and binding. The Quilt measures 67" X 93". ( We call this pattern the 5 hour Quilt top...It took Michelle a little over 4 hours from starting to cut the fabric to a finished quilt top....Perfect gift for someone special!!)

Every year I dread the build up of Christmas. So much work and then poof in 10 minutes it's over...well that is what it feels like to me- the scrooge. This year (of course at the last minute, my siblings and our older kids agreed to not exchange gifts...phew what a relief...I always hate the stress of buying stuff that others really don't want or need...and gift cards/certificates is really like just exchanging money...what happened to the days of gifts that were well thought out and made by hand??? Well, who has that kind of extra time??)
Anyhow, one of the highlights of Christmas for me, is Santa's visit on Christmas Eve...He comes every year, escorted by the Carson City sherriffs. Of course, being the redneck girl that I am, we have a Redneck CD in the car that sings about Santa not being here next year due to his DUI (peppermint Schnapps)...and of course the first year when Devon was very young he cried as Santa and the sirens left the house as he knew that meant no more Santa...good thing he knows now that the skinny santa that delivers their jammies on Christmas eve is just a Santa's helper as santa is getting ready for the "BIG NIGHT".
Nothing better than a new pair of jammies hand picked and delivered by santa himself!
Stay tuned for our next post....I'll show you what our latest Block of the Month quilt is....It is GORGEOUS...also just out elinor's latest patten is on the cover of Soft Dolls and Animals Magazine what an honor!! We have ordered the magazine so let us know if you would like a copy (you can email us at beth@fabric-chicks.com)

Here is a quick, inexpensive gift idea!! True to her word, elinor is keeping us in blog post...so keep checking back to see what is happening!! (we promise to keep it updated...)
elinor has some of those romantic looking pink satin hangers. They have fallen apart over the years, so she took one of them apart and using the batting that still clung to the wooden hanger she covered it with more batting and stitched it in place. After that was complete she made a sleeve for the wire hook out of a tee shirt knit. elinor keeps a collection of children’s tee shirts from the Good Will on hand for doll clothes and other embellishments. She wrapped the hanger with scraps of fabric and lace and then added yoyos, buttons, and ribbons. Doesn’t it look too fussy for words? Now all you have to do is find one of those hangers and excessive trim and go to work.
